Job Specification

  • Part-time Employed Contract (PAYE)
  • 25-30 hours a week (to be discussed)
  • Salary – £15,000 per annum – £19,500 per annum (dependant on hours agreed and experience)
  • UK based remote working/working from home (but willing to travel to London 4-6 times a year)
  • Immediate start

Personal Specification

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has office/administrative experience
  • With strong organisational skills
  • Enjoys being client facing and working with people
  • Has an appreciation/understanding of the arts and those working within it
  • Is empathetic and passionate about mental health and helping others
  • Is interested in the prospect of growing with a young not-for-profit community interest company
  • Can be self-sufficient (with support) and innovative as this is an everchanging and developing role

Requirements:

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook in particular)
  • Experience working with WordPress/website content management
  • Confidence using social media
  • Are willing to use your own: Laptop, mobile phone, and internet connection
  • Right to work in the UK

Job Description

  • Working closely with the Founder & Director of Applause for thought
  • Working alongside the rest of the freelance Applause for thought core team
  • Monitoring the info@applauseforthought.co.uk email address as well as your own – replying and actioning requests/signposting and forwarding to appropriate AFT team when necessary
  • Registering of Mental Health Courses
  • Managing course bookings and correspondence and post course actions
  • Managing Talks and Workshop bookings and correspondence
  • Supporting in Consultancy correspondence and actions with our clients
  • Organising and minuting the weekly AFT Team Meetings
  • Invoicing
  • Inputting all key dates, meetings, and actions into the AFT diary
  • Managing delegation to AFT freelance admin assistants as appropriate
  • Website updates and maintenance and correspondence with website host for fixing technical issues (word press)
  • Monitoring social media accounts and posting content alongside Founder and Director and AFT Support Lead
  • Developing and leading on outreach and community projects such as: one off events, collaborations, panels, and talks & workshops
  • Supporting and collaborating with the AFT team on wider company strategy, outreach and growth

*Due to the nature of this role and size of the company there is room to grow and develop this role around you and we encourage the exploration of new areas and ideas.
